The Silent Treatment
I wanted to post here a document released today from the North End Elite Supporters Group detailing a planned protest they will be holding for the last two Toronto FC home games in the next week. Their message speaks for itself and needs no commentary from yours truly.
I personally wish them well in their endeavour. Hopefully the powers that be will notice.
While I understand the frustration of the fans &, in particular, this supporters section, I’m very disappointed with this letter. That section is not consistently filled and it is not as loud as the south end. I have never been a fan of dividing the supporters section and believe the south end stands should be the only designated supporters section – keep them united. Further, the North End elite ALWAYS have something to complain about and while their ML$E banners are comical, we shouldn’t penalize the players on the pitch for the actions of poor management. I’ve been a season seat holder since the start and I’ll be routing for the boys in the final 2 games…let’s close the season with 2 convincing victories and show the rest of the MLS that our support for the Reds doesn’t die when we’re struck with hard times.
