Merry Christmas & Happy New Year

As this year soon comes to an end I wanted to take a moment to say thank you to all of you that have read the blog this season and have taken the time to comment on what I am writing about, good or bad.

The primary reason I write this blog in the first place is because of my love for this club and the admiration I have for the many fans that I interact with at the stadium and beyond. In my own way I want to try to use this space to share our stories with those fans of the club that are not necessarily as connected into the supporters culture as others are.

Whether I have succeeded or not is of course up to you the reader to decide, but that is the goal I strive to attain with every post.

If I have for even a few of you perhaps changed your minds on an issue, given you information you have not known before or even gotten you for a minute to think about an opposing point of view then I will have done what I set out to do.

Over the holidays I will, when there is news to report, try and comment upon it. If there is nothing happening then I will be doing what I am sure most of us will be hoping to do, enjoying the holidays with my family and friends.

And finally I want to personally thank the inspiration for this blog,  my good friend Scotty! Scott founded a site called http://viewfromthesouthstands.com back in 2007 with the idea being that fans taking pictures or video at TFC games, home or away, could have through the site a free public repository where they could share their photos/videos with everyone and anyone. Facebook, Flickr, Photbucket and the like are wonderful resources but not everyone can see for example everyone else’s Facebook information or pictures. tfcpics is an open site for one and all to use.

I was thinking of starting a blog over the off season and Scotty came to me with an idea, earlier this year, namely hosting my blog on the tfcpics site as both a way to both help him get more traffic/exposure to the tfcpics page and for me to get my blog started. Not only did he help get it started but he also provided what I feel is an excellent overall physical design of the site as well.

Scotty mate, you are a true friend. Thank you among many other things for providing me with my digital soap box.

And to those of you that do take photos or videos at TFC games or events I urge you going forward to take a look at http://viewfromthesouthstands.com and if you have video or images to share then please feel free to do so.

And finally to you the readers, I want to wish all of you, your families, and your friends, a safe and joyous Merry Christmas and a Happy and Healthy New Year.
