Saturday night in Washington DC the Reds earned a well deserved three points on the strength of a Giovinco brace, standout performances from Zavaleta and Creavalle, along with some opportunistic/aggressive game management from Greg Vanney. As they head into the international break on a high I take a look ahead at the homestand to come that might see the Reds set themselves up real nice for the run in.

Good summary Tim. I have to somewhat disagree with you on the 1st goal error, though. Yes, Perquis should’ve done a better job covering his man, but Zavaleta could’ve cleared the ball with a header. If you watch the replay, he ducks at the last second, making it an easy tap for DC.
