I toast Mo and Preki on their departure from Toronto FC in a special video blog. Comments always welcome.
Mo Johnston is no longer running Toronto FC. I take a moment to try and explain why this long awaited move is a step in the right direction for the future of the club.
Your comments are always welcome.
I will have some thoughts up later today about these firings and I will also be posting a video blog later tonight. For now here are some notes from the press conference that just ended where MLSE’s Tom Anselmi announced that Mo Johnston and Preki were no longer working or Toronto FC.
In video form I try and explain why Saturday’s loss for Toronto FC was just about the most disheartening game in the short history of the club, I bring some light on some staffers leaving the club at an odd time, I try and address fan dissension and I address if thre hours more rest would have made a difference in the outcome Saturday.
The server for the blog was down all day yesterday into today so I was not able to get my usual pre-game post up before the game last evening in Chicago that saw Toronto draw the Fire 0-0. I am still for the record going to post my pre-game thoughts here along with some commentary on the upcoming 2011 TFC season ticket renewal campaign.
First Mo Johnston yesterday and now Preki today. Why I feel Preki should stick around for 2011.

After 21 games of the 2010 MLS season it is starting to feel like 2009 for Toronto FC in many ways. The stark reality for TFC fans is that the 2010 season to date has many parallels with the unsuccessful 2009 campaign.

Some quick thoughts on TFC signing an academy player to the senior squad, the continuing fallout from the CONCACAF Champions League matches earlier this week and TFC gets screwed again my MLS by not following the FIFA calendar. Comments always welcome.
