The less that can be said about the humbling and embarrassing loss to the Philadelphia Union on Saturday past the better. So in this video blog I choose to not give more than a cursory mention of the club that was booed off the field by many of the fans that were remaining at the end of that 6-2 disgrace.

Instead I choose to talk about something much more uplifting and hope filled, namely the TFC Academy game which I attended Saturday evening. Even though the Academy was shorthanded by players being away in International duty or called up for a reserve game they played hard for the team and for the fans. Even though they had only three substitutes on the bench and even after their goalkeeper was red carded under dubious circumstances and with no backup available a defender had to don the gloves and the keepers jersey, they played hard.

These kids playing against men showed me much more than just about every single player on the first team roster failed to do earlier in the day.

I also have some exclusive video from the stands as TFC supporters did their best to create atmosphere and cheer on the kids.
